STORM WATER MANAGEMENT

Stormwater management involves controlling the quantity and the quality of runoff generated during rainfall periods. When rainfall is sporadic but intense, traditional drainage systems often struggle to cope with sudden influxes of water. Innovative solutions are necessary to manage stormwater.

STORM WATER MANAGEMENT

During heavy rainfall and sudden influx, the underground drainage system, treatment plants and sewage systems cannot handle the large volumes of wastewater.
Therefore, temporary storage, retention of wastewater is needed until the treatment capacity is available, becomes more easier to control and drainage network bottle necks are cleared and available to release back the stored wastewater.

VACUUM WELLPOINT DEWATERING SYSTEMS

A wellpoint dewatering system is a versatile, cost-effective pre-drainage solution that features individual wellpoint through slotted flexible tubes inserted into the ground which are closely spaced around the excavation.

This method of effective trench or excavation dewatering, ideal for shallow aquifers less than 7m/23ft below ground surface.

WELL POINT DEWATERING SYSTEM

This technique utilizes vacuum generated by dewatering
vacuum pump to assist in lowering groundwater levels to
create a stable, dry working environment

Typically utilizes rotary drilling methods to install closely
spaced 1 in/25mm up to 4in/100mm diameter wellpoints
attached to a common surface header suction line attached
to a diesel/electric driven high vacuum wellpoint dewatering
pump.

SUMP/TRENCH DEWATERING SYSTEMS

Sump pit pumping is the simplest, most cost-effective
dewatering solution.

Groundwater seeps into the excavation area, where it collects in sumps. Solids handling pumps then pump the collected water out of the excavation to a discharge point.
Sahara has variety of specialized pumps that can manage surface or groundwater infiltration entering open excavations.

SLUDGE & SLURRY PUMPS

Submersible sludge and slurry pumps are often considered interchangeable, but they do have slightly different functions. Both sludge and slurry are fluids with a high percentage of solids, but sludge is softer and thicker. Slurry is thinner and flows through the pipes more easily.

OILFIELD PUMPING & STORAGE SOLUTIONS
